Mr. Frank Kinsella

Mr. Kinsella is the Senior Ophthalmic Surgeon in University College Hospital, Galway where he has worked since 1993, and he is the clinical lecturer in ophthalmology in the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Prior to taking up his Galway appointment, Mr. Kinsella spent a number of years training in general medicine before starting his career in ophthalmic surgery in the Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital, Dublin. Subsequent to that he spent two years in Glasgow where he developed a special interest in ocular oncology followed by two years in the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff where he had extensive exposure to lacrimal and anterior segment surgery. This was followed by a fellowship in retinal surgery in the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Australia and finally a fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery in Moorefields Eye Hospital, London.
